Dr. Butler attended medical school in Maine at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is board certified in family practice and was the Medical Director of Dartmouth Medical Center since 2000, prior to moving his practice to Westport in late 2020. His interests are in sports medicine and developing patient education strategies. He is the founder of three health-related websites, including MyPhotoDiet.com. Dr. Butler is married to Debra Curtis, Ph.D and they have twin daughters. He has lived in Europe and the Middle East, and has completed several marathons, endurance cycling events and the Ironman® triathlon. Dr. Butler's health care team includes Certified Advanced Practice Nurses (Nurse Practitioners) who care for patients in their Faunce Corner Road office. Dr. Butler is affiliated with Saint Anne's Hospital in Fall River.
